Is Pebblely still on the Shopify App Store?
No. When we checked on , the Shopify App Store listing for Pebblely AI (apps.shopify.com/pebblely-ai) said: "This app is not currently available on the Shopify App Store." It shows no install button, so a merchant cannot add it to a store from the App Store today.
Pebblely's own website is still online. What is gone is the Shopify app, and with it the way to add Pebblely to a store from the App Store.
What sameface does for product backgrounds and scenes
If you used Pebblely to put products into new backgrounds, this is how sameface does that job from your Shopify admin.
- Product-only scenes. Your product on its own in a studio, on a café table, in a living room, outdoors, or in a scene you describe in your own words. The app writes the prompt.
- It starts from your catalog. The photo already on the Shopify product is the reference, so there is nothing to upload and nothing to download.
- Sizes for ads. Square 1:1, 4:5 for feed ads and 9:16 for Reels and TikTok.
- A label check. For bottles, jars and bags with a brand on them, sameface reads the lettering on each new photo and on your product photo, and tells you in the gallery when the two do not match.
- More than a still. A photo you approve can become a five- or ten-second clip, and a simple product can get a 360 view that Shopify shows on the product page and in AR.
- A person when you want one. The same product can be worn or held by an AI model whose face you lock for later shoots.
- Publish when you choose. Each photo you pick is added beside your existing product photos. Nothing is replaced.
A packshot, then a scene
The lamp is a product from the sameface demo store, and the app made the living-room photo from its packshot. The mug is a product-only scene from the app's sample library.

Check the shape, the color and small details such as lettering against the real product before you publish. More examples are in the guide to AI product photography for Shopify.
Where sameface is different
- It makes new scenes. It does not remove a background or export a transparent cut-out; if that is the whole job, a background remover fits better.
- It works only inside Shopify. Photos for a marketplace without a Shopify store need another tool.
- It is priced per result, not by a monthly quota. A month in which you make nothing costs nothing.
- You review each result. AI can change a shape, a color or the words on a label, and nothing is published until you choose it.
sameface vs Pebblely, in detail
This page is for merchants who need a replacement for the Shopify app now. For a side-by-side table of where each tool runs, what each makes and how each is priced, with the date we read Pebblely's pages, see sameface vs Pebblely.
What it costs
There is no subscription and no image quota. New stores get 15 free photos once, then each photo is $0.08 USD. A clip is $0.14 a second, $0.70 for five seconds, or $0.28 a second at best quality, and a 360 view is $1.50. Paid results go on your Shopify bill under a usage cap you approve, $100 by default. See the pricing page.
