What the free try makes
One photo, made the way the app makes them: your product, held, worn or placed by the model you picked, in a clean studio scene. Or the product on its own if you choose product only. The models are synthetic: generated people, not photographs of anyone.
The free result is a sample. It is 1024 pixels at most, it carries a sameface watermark, and it is kept for 15 minutes, so save it if you want it. It is not the full app: in sameface you choose the scene, the size and the model, lock a model's face as the reference for later shoots, make five- or ten-second clips and publish to your products.
Which photo to use
- One product, clearly in view. A packshot on a plain background works best; a busy photo with several things in it may be refused.
- No people. A photo with a person in it is refused. The only face sent to the image model is one of our synthetic models.
- Your own photo. Use a photo you have the right to use. The box above asks you to confirm it.
- Big enough. At least 400 pixels on each side. The page shrinks a large photo before it is sent.
What happens to your photo
Your browser shrinks the photo and sends it to the sameface app. A vision model checks that it shows a product and not a person, then the image model at fal.ai makes the new photo. The app adds the watermark and keeps the result in memory for 15 minutes; your upload is not stored. To keep the free try to one a day, the app keeps a scrambled form of your network address for 48 hours, never the address itself. The website privacy notice has the details.
Questions about the free try
Is the free try really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no card and no Shopify login. You get one watermarked photo a day.
Why is there a watermark?
The free try is a sample, open to anyone, so its photo is marked. Photos made in the app have no watermark.
Why was my photo refused?
The try only works on product photos. A photo that shows a person, more than one unclear product, or something that cannot be used is refused, and the try for that day is used.
Is the result the same as in the app?
It is made the same way, in one scene. The app offers many scenes, sizes, clips and your own locked model, and you review every photo before publishing it.
